What Is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to break work into 25-minute intervals (called "pomodoros"), separated by 5-minute breaks. After 4 pomodoros, take a longer 15-30 minute break.

How to Use This Timer

  1. Click Start to begin a 25-minute focus session
  2. Work on a single task until the timer rings
  3. Take a 5-minute short break
  4. After 4 sessions, take a longer break (15 min)
  5. Customize the intervals in Settings if needed
